INDUS-EM Summit and Education Activities began in 2005. Since inception INDUSEM has attracted over 15,000 Delegates to its Annual Meetings and Education Programs where over 5000 hours of education have been conducted successfully to medical students, nurses, residents, faculty, policy makers and practicing doctors with over 200 Indian and American faculty Leading these efforts.

The INDUS-EM Summit is held every year in India as a Level One International Meeting by and between Experts in areas of Emergency Medicine, Trauma and Disaster Health who bring Basic Science, Clinical Medicine and Public Health under one united platform of Education, Research thus fortifying Science and Technology Relations between USA, India and the World.

INDUS-EM 2005 @ AIIMS-New Delhi:
Theme: “Algorithms of Acute Care”

The Inaugural INDO-US Emergency Medicine Summit was held in New Delhi in October of 2005. Attended by over 700 delegates this Meeting was well received and supported by Indian Council of Medical Research, Medical Council of India and World Health Organization. INDUS-EM 2005 was a three day conference and this meeting laid the foundation for the growth of the INDO-US Collaborative for Academic Emergency and Trauma in India. It was attended by 6 International faculties. Prizes worth Rupees 25,000 were awarded for research and poster presentations. There were two Post Conference Meetings held following the Summit. One was a Leadership Conclave with the Association of Physicians of India in Mumbai and another was an Emergency Department Administration Workshop in Baroda. Both these small meetings were attended by over 300 Delegates.

INDUS-EM 2005 brought together faculty and delegates from MCI recognized Medical Colleges in India who then decided to formalize themselves as a part of INDUS-EM team

INDUS-EM 2006 @ AIIMS-New Delhi:
Theme: “Connecting Care, Competencies & Culture”

The Second INDO-US Emergency Medicine Summit was once again hosted by AIIMS in New Delhi. This was a grand academic convention spanning over Five days. The hallmark of this meeting was the Founding of the INDO-US Academic Council for Emergency and Trauma. The founding Councilors came from over 30 Medical Colleges in India. 25 International faculties attended the event. INDUS-EM 2006 was attended by over 1200 delegates and this was the biggest INDO-US Meeting in India with eight simultaneous tracks and 14 workshops. It was once again supported by all the National and International agencies including massive support of the industry.

This conference had many Firsts. It is the first time that a Nursing and paramedic Conference was held simultaneously. This was the First time awards worth Rs 100000 (One Hundred Thousand rupees) were given via six competitions and this was India’s First biggest and largely attended meeting on Emergency Medicine and Trauma.

There was a Pre-Conference Meeting held in Baroda which attracted 300 Delegates and a Post-Conference Meeting was held in Mumbai in collaboration with railway Health Services which attracted over 150 Delegates. With the end of 2006 Summit INDUS-EM had gained popularity amongst the academic fraternity so did the wave of Emergency Medicine.

INDUS-EM 2006 was deemed as the only Level One International Meeting on Trauma, Emergency and Disaster Medicine.

INDUS-EM 2007 @ Nehru Center, Mumbai
Theme: “Science Skills and Survival”

In 2007 INDUS-EM was hosted by the Academic fraternity of Mumbai in collaboration with Railway Hospitals of Mumbai. Faculty from all disciplines and all the medical colleges in Mumbai organized this huge meeting at the prestigious Nehru Center in collaboration with Ranbaxy India. Mumbai took INDUS-EM to a new level. Attended by 500 delegates, 200 Academicians and 100 Industry Delegates INDUS-EM 2007 was a mammoth success and again established new Firsts for the partnership.

This was the first time Railway Physicians were involved in Development of Academic Emergency Medicine. Indian Railways is the largest employer in the world and have a big health system in India. The railway hospitals are all post graduate institute of learning in medicine. Their role is considered crucial to develop EM and Trauma in India.

Another development was the formation of a “Joint Working Group” (“JWG”). JWG was formed with the leaders of Medicine in Mumbai representing various organized Medicine bodies in India. This was a united effort to bring Organized Medicine into the foray of INDUS-EM. A resolution was drafted which will be shortly released to all the agencies.

Another first was the uniquely designed LEAD-India Course for Academic Faculty. LEAD-India stands for Leadership in Emergency Academic Development in India. This was offered a Pre-Summit Assembly to academic faculty. Over 80 faculties attended this course.

INDUS-EM 2007 had 30 International faculty (including Nurses and paramedics) and 100 National Faculty participating. Similar to last year in 2007 there were joint conferences for nurses and paramedics.

In 2007 there were two pre-Conference meetings and two post conference meetings. Two were held in Delhi and one each in Baroda and Mangalore. These conferences attracted over 500 delegates. Once again the competitions were well received and prizes worth Rs 1, 00,000 were awarded. Mumbai faculty and delegates were thrilled to have a conference with nine tracks and 14 workshops. This is the first time that Experts from ICMR, NIH, CDC, Government of Maharashtra and Government of India participated in INDUS-EM 2007.

INDUS-EM took a new leap with in 2007 with the partnership being accepted as the Only Platform for developing Academic Emergency Medicine and Trauma in India.

INDUS-EM 2008 @ AJ Institute of Medical Sciences, Mangalore, Karnataka
Theme: “Rescue, Resuscitation and Research”

INDUS-EM Summit 2008 was held simultaneously with the Annual Assembly of the Academic Council for Emergency and Trauma. This meeting was hosted by AJ Institute of Medical Sciences Mangalore in partnership with KS Hegde Medical Academy, Manipal University, Father Muller Medical College, Yenepoya Medical College and Government of India’s Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited.

2500 Delegates participated from over 50 Medical Colleges across India. The Summit was held simultaneously in 10 Halls and 5 venues and was hugely supported by the Medical Council of India, Rajiv Gandhi Medical University, Indian Council for Medical Research, many International agencies and the Industry. Faculty from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, USA also participated in the Summit.

INDUS-EM 2008 also introduced its new range of workshops namely Emergency Airway and Ventilation, Clinical Research Methods for Clinical Trials, Pediatric and Pregnancy Resuscitation and Tactical Medicine. These new education segments were very well appreciated and Delegates wanted new segments to be introduced in 2009.

The Second Issue of the Journal of Emergencies, Trauma and Shock (JETS) was released at the inaugural function of the Summit. The Academic Council meeting was attended by over 30 Councilors and 5 Deans. A range of issues were discussed in ACET from Emergency Academic Content to problems in developing Academic EM in India.

The Joint Working Group (JWG) which was formed in 2007 released White Paper in Developing Academic Emergency Medicine in India. This position statement was published in the October 2008 Issue of the Journal of Association of Physicians of India (JAPI). JAPI is the official Scientific Publication of the Association of Physicians of India which is a 64 Year organization representing the rights of over One Million Internists in India.

One Pre-Conference and Three Post Conferences were held in New Delhi, Baroda, Pune and Mumbai respectively, INDUS-EM Faculty participated in Disaster Workshops, Trauma Critical Care Education Program and the Annual Conference of the Association of Physicians of India –Maharashtra State Chapter (MAPICON 2008). They also participated in CDC workshops at the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and Gujarat.

INDUS-EM 2008 was held over 5 Days for 2500 Delegates who got 200 Hours of Education from 100 INDO-US Faculty in form of didactics and 15 muti-venue skills workshops along with prizes worth Rs 1,00,000 awarded for Research Competitions. This added another proud chapter in the history of developing Academic Emergency Medicine in India.

INDUS-EM 2009 @ PSG Institute of Medical Sciences & Research, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu
Theme: “Education, Expertise & Enterprise”

INDUS-EM Summit 2009 was held simultaneously with the Annual Assembly of the Academic Council for Emergency and Trauma. This meeting was hosted by PSG Institute of Medical Sciences & Research Coimbatore in partnership with Government of Tamil Nadu.

Inspite of the Floods and H1N1 Disaster in India 1250 Delegates participated from over 60 Medical Colleges across India. The Summit was held simultaneously in 10 Halls and 5 venues and was hugely supported by the Medical Council of India, Center for Scientific and Industrial Research, Indian Council for Medical Research, many International agencies and the Industry. Faculty from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, USA also participated in the Summit.

INDUS-EM 2009 offered workshops on Emergency Airway and Ventilation, Clinical Research Methods for Clinical Trials, Pediatric and Pregnancy Resuscitation and Tactical Medicine. These education segments were very well appreciated and Delegates wanted new segments to be introduced in 2010.

The Academic Council meeting was attended by over 30 Councilors and Deans. A range of issues were discussed in ACET from Emergency Academic Content to problems in developing Academic EM in India. Stringent Membership criteria were laid out for being a Part of the Academic Council.

Pre and Post Conferences were held in Indore and Ahmadabad where INDUS-EM Faculty participated in Academic Sessions in partnership with Government of Gujarat and Sri Arubindo Institute of Medical Sciences, Indore.

INDUS-EM 2009 was successfully endorsed by the attending delegates inspite of the H1N1 pandemic and the Flash Floods in Southern India. There was immense joy as the Medical Council of India had recognized Emergency Medicine as a specialty in July 2009. This was a proud moment for the INDO-US Team and the Academic Council for Emergency and Trauma who had toiled hard for the Last four years to make this happen.

Theme: “Doctrines, Departments and Development”

INDUS-EM Summit 2010 was held simultaneously with the Annual Assembly of the Academic Council for Emergency and Trauma. This meeting was hosted by Medical College Baroda and SSG Hospital Vadodara in partnership with MS University and the Government of Gujarat.

2500 Delegates participated from over 60 Medical Colleges across India. The Summit was held simultaneously in 15 Halls and was hugely supported by the Medical Council of India, Rajiv Gandhi Medical University, Indian Council for Medical Research, many International agencies and the Industry. Faculty from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, USA also participated in the Summit.

The Ninth Issue of the Journal of Emergencies, Trauma and Shock (JETS) was released at the inaugural function of the Summit. The Academic Council meeting was attended by over 30 Councilors and a range of issues were discussed in ACET.

One Pre-Conference and One Post Conference was held in Mullana, Haryana and Pune, Maharshtra respectively. INDUS-EM Faculty participated in Disaster Workshops, Trauma Critical Care Education Program and the CDC workshops at the Maharishi Markandeshwar University in Haryana.

INDUS-EM 2010 was held over 5 Days and attended by 2500 Delegates. It was the First International EM Conference to be held in history of Gujarat that too in its Golden Jubilee Year. INDUS-EM 2010 was successful in exiting enthusiasm and spreading awareness in the Field of Academic EM in Gujarat and across India.

INDUS-EM 2011 @ University College of Medical Sciences and All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India.
Theme: “Translating Science from Benchside to Bedside and Beyond”

INDUS-EM Summit 2011 was held simultaneously with the Annual Assembly of the Academic Council for Emergency and Trauma. This meeting was hosted by the University College of Medical Sciences {UCMS} and All India Institute of Medical Sciences, (AIIMS) New Delhi, India.

2000 Delegates participated from over 80 Medical Colleges across India. The Summit was held simultaneously in 15 Halls and Two locations with the Pre-Summit at UCMS and the Main Summit at AIIMS. It was hugely supported by the Medical Council of India, University Grants Commission, and Indian Council for Medical Research, many International agencies and the Industry. Faculty from the various Universities from USA, Botswana, and Israel also participated in the Summit.

The First Fellowship Convocation of the Academic College of Emergency Experts in India {ACEE-INDIA} and the Academy for Clinical Emergency Nursing in India {ACEN-INDIA} was held during the Summit.

The Indian Network of Critical Illness and Injury Translational Trial Experts (INCIITTE) was held on 1st October 2011 parallel to the Summit where over 30 Research Ideas were discussed and a few were selected for Multi-center Research Trials.

INDUS-EM 2011 was held over 5 Days and attended by 2000 Delegates. This was a landmark Historical Conference when the INCIITTE Group was launched and the Colleges and the Academy for Emergency Physicians and Emergency Nurses was Inaugurated.

INDUS-EM 2012 @ Nashik Engineering Cluster Convention Center, Nashik, Maharashtra.
Theme: “Innovations, Interventions & Institutions”

The 8th Annual INDUS-EM Summit 2012 was held simultaneously with the 7th Annual Assembly of the Academic Council for Emergency and Trauma. This meeting was hosted by the Maharashtra University Of Health Sciences {MUHS} and The Association of Physicians of Nashik {APN} Maharashtra, India.

2200 Delegates participated from over 105 Medical Colleges across India and the United States. The Summit was inaugurated by His Excellency the Governor of Maharashtra Shri. K. Sankaranarayanan on 26th October 2012. The five day educational extravaganza was held at Two locations in over 20 halls with the Pre-Summit at MUHS and the Main Summit at Nashik Engineering Cluster Convention Center. It was hugely supported by the Medical Council of India, Center for Scientific & Industrial Research and Indian Council for Medical Research and many International agencies and the Industry. Faculty from the various Universities from USA, New Zealand and Israel also participated in the Summit.

The Pre-Conference Meeting was held at MUHS Nashik where a national round table was organized to lay the framework for Disaster Mitigation during the 2015 Maha kumbh Mela in Nashik where over 10 Million people will be gathering. Experts and Leaders from Civic Administration, Medical Facilities and Voluntary Organizations attended the meeting and a task force was appointed to carry the work forward in an organized matter.

The Second Fellowship Convocation of the Academic College of Emergency Experts in India {ACEE-INDIA} and the Academy for Clinical Emergency Nursing in India {ACEN-INDIA} was held during the Summit.

The 2nd Annual Meeting of Indian Network of Critical Illness and Injury Translational Trial Experts (INCIITTE) was held on 27th October 2012 parallel to the Summit where innumerable Research Ideas were discussed and a few were selected for Multi-center Research Trials.

The summit also witnessed the formation of the Emergency Medical Council of Residency Departments in India (EMCORD-INDIA). All MCI Recognized MD-EM Residency Departments and Faculty were a part of EMCORD. The focus of EMCORD was to develop common algorithms, protocols for and teaching and testing methodologies to advance Education, Research and Treatment in Academic Emergency Medicine in India. EMCORD is also a forum where the academic challenges will be discussed and conveyed to MCI.

INDUS-EM 2012 was held over 5 Days and attended by 2200 Delegates. This was a new chapter being written by INDUS wherein a International EM Conference was held in a Developing City of Nashik which has immense potential to develop both Academic Emergency Medicine across Maharashtra and improve Emergency Medical Care and Management in the backdrop of the fact that the City is home to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences and is the host of the 2015 Maha Kumbh Mela which is looking to attract 10 million devotees to the religious city of the Godavari River Banks of Nashik.

INDUS-EM 2013 @ LuLu International Convention Center Thrissur, Kerala
Theme: “Principles, Practices & Patients”

The 9th Annual INDUS-EM Summit of 2013 was held simultaneously with the 8th Annual Assembly of the Academic Council for Emergency and Trauma. This meeting was hosted by the Kerala University Of Health Sciences {MUHS} and Jubilee Mission Medical College and Research Institute, Amala Institute of Medical Sciences and Government Medical College of Thrissur Kerala.

2800 Delegates participated from over 200 Medical Colleges across India and the United States. The Summit was inaugurated by Chief Secretary of Kerala Mr. Bharat Bhushan in presence of the Members of Parliament, Members of legislative assembly and Municipal Corporation.

The five day educational extravaganza included a massive pre-conference on 23rd and 24th October 2013 focused on research and development in academic emergency and trauma. The Summit was held at the beautiful Lulu International Convention Center in Thrissur. Like every year even this year the Medical Council of India, Center for Scientific & Industrial Research and Indian Council for Medical Research and many International agencies supported INDUS-EM 2013.

The 3rd Annual Meeting of Indian Network of Critical Illness and Injury Translational Trial Experts (INCIITTE) was held on 24th October 2012 as a part of the Pre-Summit where innumerable Research Ideas were discussed and a few were selected for Multi-center Research Trials specifically in the field of point of care biomarkers.

Specific areas of Academic Development in Simulation Education and Sonology and focus on Trauma Critical Care training was an important part of the discussion in the summit.

The Third Fellowship Convocation of the Academic College of Emergency Experts in India {ACEE-INDIA} and the Academy for Clinical Emergency Nursing in India {ACEN-INDIA} was held during the Summit.

The second meeting of the Emergency Medical Council of Residency Departments in India (EMCORD-INDIA) was held at the summit. All MCI Recognized MD-EM Residency Departments and Faculty were a part of EMCORD. Resident and faculty had in depth discussions on strategies to improve team work and forge academics.

INDUS-EM 2013 was held over 5 Days and attended by 2800 Delegates. This was a year when organizations began to rewrite a progressive strategy focused on improvising the work done in the last decade as INDUS stepped into its decennial year.

INDUSEM2014 @ KGMU International Convention Center Lucknow, India
Theme: “Money, Management and Manpower in Medicine”

The 10thAnnual INDUSEM2014 was held simultaneously with the 9thAnnual Assembly of the Academic Council for Emergency and Trauma. This meeting was hosted by the King George Medical University and the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow in partnership with all the Medical Colleges in Lucknow. Around 15 Medical Institutions Including Medical and Nursing Colleges participated in this Decennial Conference.

3500 Delegates participated from over 300 Medical Institutions across India and the United States.

Held over 7 days the Summit started off with a Curtain Raiser Event at the Uttar Pradesh Rural Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in Saifaii, India. The Pre-Summit was held at Indian Institute of Management Lucknow which was a stunning success and was attended by 200 HealthCare Leaders from across India. The Main Summit was inaugurated by Governor Shri. Ram Naik in presence of Dr. Abhishek Mishra, Science and Technology Minister in Government of Uttar Pradesh and Health Research Secretary of India Dr. VM Katoch. VariousOfficials of the Government of United States, India and Uttar Pradesh were Present at the grand Event.

Alongside the Annual Meetings of INCIITTE , ACET, The Convocations of ACEE and ACEN , This year two Landmark National Round Tables on Road Safety and Organ Transplantation were held at INDUSEM where Government of India and United States came together to develop various Initiatives to advance the Public Health Agenda if Road Safety and Organ Transplantation in India.

The Landmark Textbook of “Fundamentals of Patient Safety in Medicine and Surgery” was released during the event which is a mark of the INDO-US Partnership and its Commitment to Quality HealthCare.

INDUS-EM 2014 was held over 7 Days and attended by 3500 Delegates. INDUSEM has now directed its focus on delivery of Quality HealthCare across India with a vision to enhance patient safety and strengthen public health and develop skills in India.

Theme: “Synergizing Science to Sustain Systems”

The 11th Annual INDUSEM Meeting and the First World Academic Congress of Emergency Medicine (WACEM) was hosted by all the Medical Colleges and Governmental Agencies in New Delhi India from 27th September to 5th October 2015. Spread over 8 Days and 15 Venues the 11th Annual Congress registered over 3500 Delegates from Medical Schools, Governmental Agencies, Defense forces, Sports Arena and Countries across the World.

Kicking off with an Injury Prevention Walkathon on 27th September 2015 Lead by Member of Parliament Dr. Pritam Munde the Congress had special conferences on Sports Emergencies, Emergency Nursing Care, Violence in the ED and Emergency Staff Wellness. Skill Development Sessions included Hands on Workshops on Resuscitation, Airway Management, Toxicology, Trauma and Disaster Management.

Didactic Lectures were presented by International Faculty and Special Consensus Meetings were held on topics like Fever in Pediatric Emergency Patients, Pain and Sedation in ED and Critical Care Admissions Criteria from the ED.

The First INDUSEM Awards Night was held on 2nd October 2015 at Santosh University and was a runaway success. The INDUSEM Awards honors the best in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Bonnie Arquilla entered the Hall of Fame for 2015.

A Special Philatelic Cover and Stamp was issued by India Post to commemorate this occasion and it was released by Post Master General Shri. Kashyap. This was a matter of great honor and pride for INDUSEM. It recognizes the hard work of the INDUSEM Team.

INDUSEM launched four major initiatives namely

PRADHAN-BHARTI: The Policy Research And Development of Health AndNation Initiative where Experts from Law and Health Policy will work with Government to bring Legislations benefitting the patients.

EMA-INDIA: Emergency Medicine Association of INDIA- The Organization Network of individuals who will work to develop Emergency Medical Care and Indian Health Security across the Nation. Life Membership to EMA was Complimentary and could be done easily using a Fast Track Digital Platform www.emaindia.net

FLAME: Female Leadership Academy for Medicine &Entrepreneurship- Lead by Female Leaders in INDUSEM this initiative will foster the growth of Female Leaders in HealthCare in India.

NETWORK-ASIA: Network for Emergency &Trauma WORK in ASIA: Launched by Ambassadors and High Commission Representatives from Japan, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Afghanistan, in partnership with INDUSEM, this NETWORK claims to establish common initiatives to better the care of Emergency and Trauma Patients across the world.

Special Policy making sessions were held to kick start the process to bring the Bhartiya Emergency Medicine for All Act (BHEMAA): Lead by INDUSEM Leaders Dr. BipinBatra and Dr. Vijay Shah BHEMA Act will enforce strict regulations so that every patient will have the right to Emergency Care and no healthcare facility can refuse any emergency patient.

A Landmark INDEX Meeting were held between Medical Council of India and the National Board of Examinations India to come to a consensus to have uniform Faculty Development Program and Residency Training and Evaluation Protocols in Emergency Medicine.

INDUSEM2015 ended on 5th October 2015 with a Star Studded Satellite Symposium at the Pandit BD Sharma University of Health Sciences at Rohtak, Haryana under the Leadership of INDUSEM Leader and Honorable Vice-Chancellor Dr. OP Kalra.

WACEM2016@Bengaluru, Karnataka
Theme: “Leading to Learn & Learning to Lead”

The 2ndWorld Academic Congress of Emergency Medicine finished with a Bang in Majestic Bengaluru on 23rd October 2016. From 16th October 2016, INDUSEM was held across cities of Mysuru and Bengaluru and was attended by over 3000 Delegates who participated in various academic segments of the World Congress.16th October 2016 was the First Day of the Congress which started off with a Road Safety and Injury Prevention Walkathon led by MS Ramaiah Medical College under the auspices of the Jeevan Jyoti Rashtria Abhiyan and Jan Suraksha Abhiyan.17th and 18th October 2016 were Curtain Raiser events in Mysuru. The Community Emergency Preparedness Initiative was held on 17th October 2017 where Resuscitation Skills were taught to school students across Mysuru. 18th October was the International Consultation on Ultrasound Training in Under Graduate Medical Education. The Mysuru events were led by JSS University.19th and 20th October was the Bengaluru Academic Pre-Congress led by MS. Ramaiah Medical College, CDC-USA and SUNY Downstate New York. The Theme of the Pre-Congress was Emergency Biological Preparedness (BioPrep).21st October saw multiple skills courses held across multiple venues. All the Medical Colleges and NBE Recognized hospitals participated in the World Congress.The INDUSEM Awards Night was hosted by MS. Ramaiah Medical College where the Everest Super Climber and the First Vegan to climb Mount Everest Mr. Kuntal Joisher left the audience spell bound.22nd and 23rd October 2016 were the final two days of INDUSEM which were hosted by St. Johns National Academy of Medical Sciences. The star studded finale also witnessed the 6th Convocation of The Academic College of Emergency Experts and the Academy for Clinical Emergency Nursing in India.

The World Academic Council for Emergency Medicine was launched at the Inauguration Ceremony of INDUSEM.

The landmark consensus conferences held during INDUSEM2016 in partnership with the Indian College of Cardiology and the Indian Academy of Pediatrics will churn out high impact evidence which guide the Clinical Decision Making of Emergency Physicians in India.

The Leadership of Professor ShakunthalaMoorthy and Professor Aruna Ramesh, their teams and partners across multiple institutions in Bengaluru proved that Team Work is the key to success.

8 Days, Over 200 National and International Faculty, 2 Cities 10 Venues, 3000 + Delegates and 300 Hours of Education marked the summary of this Landmark World Congress.

Theme: From Traditional Care to Translational Medicine

WACEM2017 – The 3rd World Academic Congress of Emergency Medicine was held from 8th October to 15th October 2017 in the Cultural National of Sri Lanka. Held across Two cities of Colombo and Galle it enjoyed the unrestricted support of the Sri Lanka Ministry of Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine. The Congress began with grand public health events of walkathons and photography exhibitions highlighting injury prevention. Galle City hosted the Sonography Skills Schools. The BioPrep Course was held on 11th and 12th October 2017 which was attended by decision leaders across the world. 13th October witnessed multiple skills schools held across key academic institutions in Colombo. 14th& 15th October was the main congress. The 14th& 15th October 2017 saw the congress being held at National Hospital of Sri Lanka at Colombo with live telecast of all sessions to delegates across Academic Institutions in Sri Lanka. The INDUSEM Awards Night was held on 13th October where Achievers were honored. Ramon Magsaysay Award winners Dr. Prakash Baba Amte and Dr. Mandakini Prakash Amte were the Speakers at the Awards Night. The Dr. Amte Couple have spent their lives improving the lives of tribals in the jungles of Maharashtra India. They were inspiring as they narrated their story of how they managed emergencies in a vastly ignorant tribe and living without electricity for 20 years. Today that region has a full-fledged hospital, residential school and the tribal children have gone on to become lawyers, physicians and engineers. 14thOctober was the Gala Night where Sri Lanka presented itself to the world as a hub for innovation and clinical advancement.

EMINDIA2019 extravaganza dazzled Delhi from 31st July 2019 to 4th August 2019. EMINDIA2019 was held at The All India Institute of Medical Sciences.Innovative Workshops on Emergency Surgical Skills and Emergency Interventional Sonology kick started the event.

The main congress included the Government of India Conclave on National Health Mission focused on developing Emergency Care across India. There was also an annual master class on Emergency Medicine for post graduate students.

The main congress decorated 9 inspiring leaders who have changed the way they led their medical lives to accomplish things outside the purview of medicine without ignoring their patients. Dr. Sandeep Mane, Dr. Pragati Sawhney, Dr. Priti Nanda, Dr. Sharmila Anand, Dr. Vijay Shah, Dr. Hozefa Bhinderwala, Dr. Indrani Sardesai, and a young teenage achiever Ms. Ashile Anand mesmerized the crowds.
