EMA & Health Ministry continue to Better EM Care in India

The Emergency Medicine Association has been working closely with policy makers in the ministry of Health and Family Welfare for the betterment of legally acceptable and Ethically Viable Emergency care services in India.

In a recent meeting with Hon’ble Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, EMA Principal Secretary Dr.Vimal Krishnan S, thanked him for the timely intervention with regards to the recognition status of MD Emergency Medicine seats in India and also on the progressive reforms in increasing the postgraduate seats in the country.

The meeting was also attended by EMA leaders Dr. Siju V Abraham, Dr. Rajeev. P. C, Dr. Ajay A, Dr. Vineeth Chandran and PG representatives from the state of Kerala.

Dr. Vimal Krishnan also stressed on the importance of recognition under MCI for the pending legitimate Emergency Medicine MD post graduate programs in India. He and also appraised the Hon’ble minister on the Global Expansion of the revolutionary INDUSEM Mission under the visionary leadership of Globalization Expert Dr. Sagar Galwankar.

Dr. Vimalurged policy makers to work synchronously with this movement which has translated to better Patient care, Research and Awareness on Emergencies and Disasters in individual and community level.

The work done by the INDUSEM team for more than a decade in a non-conducive environment was well appreciated by Shri J P Naddawho promised wholehearted support for all the initiatives as he attentively heard various strategies proposed by the team.

The meeting ended with EMA Leaders thanking Shri J P Nadda for the opportunity and Pledging to work with the Government and promote Legitimacy in the Medical Education.
