INDUSEM Pediatric Emergency Medicine leaders and life partners Dr. Abhijeet Saha and Dr. Prerna Batra now have achieved Full Professorship at their respective MCI recognized Medical Colleges.  It is interesting journey for this Lovely couple who are committed academicians from their days in college to where they are in their academic careers. It was a proud moment for INDUSEM as this Power Couple has steered the growth of the Pediatric Emergency Medicine Mission in India. They were the key players in inking the Landmark Paper titled” “White paper of development of Pediatric Emergency Medicine as a super specialty in India” which was simultaneously published in The International Journal of Critical Illness and Injury Science and Indian Pediatrics. “INDUSEM potrays Quality Academicis and is made up of Leaders who are disciplined dedicated and defining by their actions and their vitues embodied with a firm senesce of passion and commitment to the development of healthcare in India. Abhijeet and Prerna are true leaders who befit this ideology and together as Man and wife and Fellows Pediatricians in Academics they have steered the growth of Pediatric Emergency Medicine in India. About Dr. Abhijeet Saha, MD, FACEE Dr. Abhijeet Saha, MD, FACEE, is now the Professor of Pediatrics, Lady Hardinge Medical College and Kalawati Saran Children’s Hospital, New Delhi. This is the largest pediatric hospital in India. He is Fellow of Academic College of Emergency Experts in Pediatric Emergency Medicine, under the aegis of INDO US Emergency and Trauma Collaborative since the year 2014. He has also received formal training in Pediatric Nephrology at various national and international institutes, his area of special interest being renal and electrolyte abnormalities. He has more than fifty publications, mostly international and many chapters in text books. He has attended and presented his papers in many international and national conferences and has received appreciation for it.  He has organized many international and national conferences and also conducted various workshops. He is a member of editorial board of Indian Pediatrics, official journal of Indian Academy of Pediatrics and is section editor of the Journal Club section. He has mentored many MD students and has been an examiner in various universities across India. He is National Coordinator of FACEE (PEM) program of the college.

About Dr. Prerna Batra, MD, FACEE Dr. Prerna Batra, MD, FACEE is now the Professor of Pediatrics at University College of Medical Sciences and Guru Tegh Bahadur Hospital, Delhi, India. This is a 1500 bedded tertiary care teaching hospital, the only one located in East Delhi, catering to the population of adjoining Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana and Nepal. She completed her Fellowship of Academic College of Emergency Experts in Pediatric Emergency Medicine, under the aegis of INDO US Emergency and Trauma Collaborative in the year 2014. She has special interest in neonatal emergencies as well. She has more than forty publications to her credit apart from chapters in books. Her paper was awarded 1st Prize in “James Flett Award Category” for best paper in PEDICON 2013 (national conference of Indian Academy of Pediatrics), held at Kolkata.  She is national instructor for Neonatal Advanced Life Support (NALS). She had been a member of editorial board of Journal of Neonatology and Indian Journal of Nursing Psychiatry. She has attended and actively organized various international and national conferences. She has been mentoring DNB and MD students. Also she has supervised many undergraduate students for their ‘short term ICMR projects’ many of them published in international journals.
