India Hosted the 11th World Academic Congress of Emergency Medicine (WACEM25) to coincide with the celebrations of 20 Years of INDUSEM and 10 Years of The World Academic Council of Emergency Medicine.
WACEM25 started off with TRANS-ASIA TRAIL BHARAT to TASHKENT Motorcycle Expedition by biker Shri. Prasad Chaulkar covering 10000 KM and 6 Nations carrying the WACEM and India flag, spreading the message of Emergency Medicine, Safe Driving and Road Safety.
The Government of India promoted the National CPR Program wherein WACEM Partner WHO-CCET of South East Asia Played an Instrumental role. This program trained over 60,000 Citizens in CPR across India as we welcomed WACEM into India.
Spanning over 10 Venues across various aspects of EMERGENCY MEDICINE, WACEM25 featured talks from Star Academicians working in Emergency Sciences.
The EMINDIA2025 and The EPICON2025 Academic National Conferences on Emergency Medicine and Emergency Pediatrics were held simultaneously with WACEM25.
They drew active participation from faculty and residents across India & The World.
The 10 Skill Schools across various medical schools in Mangalore focused on EM Eye Care, REBOA, Resuscitation ECHO, Interventional Airway Management, Thoracotomy were superhit as the world witnessed the glamorous 13th Convocation of the Academic College of Emergency Experts in India and the INDUSEM Awards Night on 31st October 2025.
The 5 days of WACEM25 saw phenomenal talks from world leaders on range of topics from Trauma, Shock, Sepsis, Neuro-Cardio-Vascular Emergencies, Disaster Management, Intensive Care, Toxicology, EM Education, EM Research as well discussing successes from EM transformations in Africa, Turkey and Uzbekistan.
The highlight of WACEM25 was the EMAGAMES World Extravaganza which brought teams from across the world to compete for the WACEM Trophy.
WECAN 2025 | National Strategic Framework & Action Plan Meeting for Integrated Emergency & Trauma Care (2025–2035) was held on 29th and 30th October 2025 as a part of WACEM2025.
Experimental Theaters on Simulation in Interfacing with Toxicology and Clinical Operations were also launched. The Longevity Summit was launched in WACEM 2025 along with WACEM Peoples, Patients and Physicians Parishad.
Over 350 papers and Presentations were done in WACEm2025.
The Female Leadership Summit was a Grand success.
Over 1500 World Delegates Participated in WACEM2025, EMINDIA2025 and EPICON2025.
WACEM 2026 will be held in Addis Ababa Ethiopia under the Leadership of WACEM Secretary General Dr. Woldesenbet Wagenew.
