Professor Dr. Sanjeev Bhoi delivered a Galvanizing Address at the Invitation of Government Medical College of GOA on the topic “EM – In The Heart Of Crisis” at the GOMECON2026.
GOMECON11: GOA MEDICAL COLLEGE’S 11th PAN INDIA ANNUAL MEDICAL CONFERENCE in 2026
The Organizers chose the theme for the conference as “EMERGENCY MEDICINE”
The health care providers and students from the medical college and across GOA attended this annual academic event.
The Conference was inaugurated by Shri. Vishwajit Rane The Honorable Health Minister of the Great State of Goa.
He emphasized the importance of Emergency Medicine as well as its application to public health where emergency care and emergency medical systems both form a vital part of the chain of saving lives.
The Honorable Health Minister highlighted the role of INDUSEM CEO Dr. Sagar Galwankar in advancing Emergency Medicine in GOA. He thanked WHO-CCET Director Professor Bhoi for supporting the Emergency Preparedness and Response agenda in the International Destination State of GOA.
The Honorable Minister laid out his vision to start an academic department of Emergency Medicine which will be the nidus of a robust emergency care system for the citizens of GOA as well the world tourist who visit GOA every year.
Dr. Bhoi Mentioned that The Honorable Health Minister Shri. Viswajit Ranji has taken leadership role in shaping the future of emergency care in GOA. This is great for the people GOA and the tourists who visit GOA daily, monthly and annually.
