Sanjeev Summits AIIMS Professorship

INDUSEM Emergency Medicine Pioneer and World Leader in Emergency Ultrasound Dr. Sanjeev Bhoi has now have achieved Full Professorship at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, India.

The journey of Sanjeev from an Assistant Professor to a Full Professor is the Journey of Indian Emergency Medicine from a Casualty to a Full Fledged Emergency Department in India.

The path of Sanjeev’s Academic Growth is the path of INDUSEM’s road to Excellence since its inception.

A Leader with many hats, Sanjeev Bhoi is a Son of Lawmaker Physician Late. Dr. Bhoi. Nation Building was and is a part of Sanjeev’s DNA and that’s why he chose Medicine as a way of public service. Discarding all opportunities to go overseas Sanjeev decided to pursue the path of academics and chose AIIMS as his anchor port.

There he met me and together with Professor Aggarwal and Professor Murmu and partners from USF Sanjeev Decided to lead the development of Academic Emergency Medicine in India. He spearheaded all the in Country Activities of the INDUSEM Movement.

Along the way Sanjeev developed special interest in Shock Resuscitation and he mastered the skills of using Sonography in Resuscitation. He additionally worked with Basic Science Researchers to also study the Immunology of Shock and became the first Funded Researcher to have India’s Premier SHOCK Studies Laboratory.

His skills in Sonography took him a long way as he emerged as a Decisions Leader in the World of Critical Sonography. Today Sanjeev Bhoi lead Teaching programs exist in Middle East, Japan, UK, USA and South East Asia.

Recipient of many awards, recognitions by many leaders including US President Obama and numerable citations and publications make up Sanjeev’s August Resume.

His open door 24/7 Access Mentorship Model has inspired many students in EM to take an academic career in Emergency Medicine. Apart from being a Professor, Sanjeev is also the Additional Medical Superintendent of the AIIMS Apex Trauma Center.

As a leader Myself I feel proud and humbled to have known Sanjeev and I feel that his Wife and his kids have more than equal contributions to his Global Success.

I wish them and bless them and Pray for them as a family and I am confident that with Bhoi at Basecamp the Everest of Indian Emergency Medicine will be reached.
