Vivek Authors Clinical Methods in HUTCHISON’S !

INDUSEM Academic Leader Dr. Vivek Chauhan from Dr. RPG Medical College, Tanda, Himachal Pradesh has become an International Advisor to the Hutchison’s Clinical Methods. His name has been included in the International advisory board of the 24th Edition published in June, 2017.

It is an honour for any doctor to be a part of Hutchison’s Clinical Methods. First edition of this book was published way back in 1897. Since then almost every doctor in India has read this book and it is one of the treasured books in the shelves of every doctor. In its 120 year history, it is for the first time that doctors from outside England have been invited to contribute to this book.

It was through a competitive online process that Vivek was selected by the Elsevier publishers for this prestigeous position. He contributed in the revision of 4 chapters in this historical treatise.

Vivek has had a keen interest in teaching and training of clinical skills. He has contributed to numerous animated teaching modules available on www.clinicallearning.com.  He is also an American Heart Association Instructor for the Basic and Advanced Life Support as well as for the National Emergency Life Support  program of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

Vivek was awarded by INDUSEM with Jan-Suraksha Paritoshik, in 2015, for imparting skills to more than 500 doctors, nurses and laymen.

About Dr. Vivek Chauhan:

Dr. Vivek Chauhan is an Post Graduate Teaching Faculty in Internal Medicine at Dr. RPG Medical College, Tanda, HP. He was awarded the Fellowship of the Academic College of Emergency Experts in 2011. He spearheaded the Injury Prevention Movement in Himachal and was instrumental in getting Governmental Sanction to establish Academic Departments of Emergency Medicine at all Medical Colleges in Himachal Pradesh. In 2015 INDUSEM Recognized his dedicated efforts and bestowed him with the “Jan Suraksha Paritoshik’ for his outstanding working in imparting ACLS, BLS, and AIIMS Basic Emergency Care Course skills training to the Doctors, Nurses, Students and Public of Himachal Pradesh.
