INDUSEM Leader Dr Naman Agrawal, Scientific Chair of EMINDIA, spearheaded the successful 4th Annual Cardiovascular Emergencies Symposium (ACES26), held from 6–8 February 2026 at AIIMS Raipur, bringing together clinicians, educators, and leaders in emergency medicine from across India and abroad.
ACES26, India’s only national conference dedicated exclusively to cardiovascular emergencies, witnessed participation of over 150 learners and educators from more than five states, including physicians, residents, nurses, and paramedical professionals. The conference was organised by the Department of Trauma & Emergency Medicine, AIIMS Raipur, in collaboration with the Emergency Medicine Association of India.

About ACES
The Annual Cardiovascular Emergencies Symposium (ACES) is a national academic initiative focused exclusively on cardiovascular emergencies, emphasising ECG interpretation, bedside echocardiography, rapid decision-making, and systems-based emergency care. Now in its fourth edition, ACES serves as a collaborative platform for clinicians, educators, and researchers committed to improving outcomes in acute cardiac care.
Vision-Driven Academic Leadership
Under the academic chairmanship of Dr DK Tripathy, HOD, Department of Trauma & Emergency Medicine, AIIMS Raipur, ACES26 was conceptualised as a platform to move beyond conventional conferences and build a high-quality, evidence-driven, interconnected, and technology-enabled ecosystem for cardiovascular emergency care in India.
Dr Agrawal articulated a forward-looking vision that integrates standardised emergency cardiology training, national academic collaboration, data-driven research, and innovative educational formats, with the ultimate goal of improving outcomes in time-critical cardiac emergencies across diverse healthcare settings.
The conference was inaugurated by Lt Gen Ashok Jindal (Retd.), Executive Director & CEO, AIIMS Raipur, who emphasised the importance of competency-based training in life-threatening emergencies and appreciated the Department of Trauma & Emergency Medicine for consistently creating nationally relevant academic platforms.

National and International Academic Engagement
A major highlight of ACES26 was the keynote address by Dr Sagar Galwankar, President of INDUSEM, who joined from Florida, USA. Addressing the national CME, he spoke on existing gaps and future directions in cardiovascular emergency training in India, reinforcing the need for globally aligned, context-specific emergency care education.
Scientific Programme and Innovation
The three-day programme featured three focused hands-on workshops—Emergency Echocardiography, ECG for Nurses, and India’s first Gamified ECG Workshop—along with a national CME and academic poster presentations. These learner-centric formats, strongly championed by Dr Naman Agrawal and Dr Roshan Mathew, were widely appreciated for their practicality, engagement, and relevance to frontline emergency care.
ACES26 reinforced AIIMS Raipur’s growing role as a national hub for emergency cardiology education and highlighted the emergence of AIIMS Raipur as a key academic leader in emergency medicine, committed to building connected, future-ready systems of cardiovascular emergency care in India.
