EM Pulse 2019 Pulsates Kerala

The Emergency Medicine department of Amala Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), Thrissur and the Amala College of Nursing in association with Academic College of Emergency Experts in India (ACEE), Emergency Medicine Association (EMA) India and the Indian Medical Association (IMA) conducted a three day national level Meeting on Emergency Medicine and Emergency Nursing.

The conference was held at AIMS, Thrissur, a premier tertiary level teaching Hospital from 5th to 7th July 2019 and had two pre-conference workshops, oral paper and poster presentations.

Rev. Fr. Francis Kurissery CMI, Director of AIMS was the chief patron for the event. Dr.Jobin Jose, MD, Asst. Professor of Emergency Medicine was the Organising Chair, Dr.Nisanth Menon MD, FACEE, Assistant Professor was the Scientific Chair and Dr.Binoy Xavier, MD, Senior Resident was the Workshop Chair.

There were two workshops on Cardiac Resuscitation and Trauma Resuscitation.

Conference had parallel tracks of oral paper presentations and sessions on core concepts in Emergency Medicine. The core concepts covered sessions ranging from Prehospital and Transport Medicine to Toxicology, Resuscitation to trauma care, imaging to ventilation, sepsis and disaster to Emergency Nursing and abuse to ED ECMO.

The faculty were Dr.Ajith Venugopalan, Dr. Mohammed Haneef, Dr.Midhun Mohan, Dr.William Wilson, Dr.Jeedhu Radhakrishnan, Dr.Bharath Prasad, Dr.Rajesh Gowda, Dr. Manu Ayyan, Dr.Siju V Abraham, Dr.Jayakrishnan Kolady,Dr.Vimal Rohan, Dr.Jebu Thomas, Dr.Rinoy Chandran, Prof. Samuel Ravikumar, Prof. Angela Gnanadurai, Ms.Merene Therese Jose and Mr. Don Jose.

600 delegates attended this meeting marking it as a major success.
