The 21st Annual Scientific Congress of the Asia Pacific Association of Medical Toxicology (APAMT2023) was held from 6th-10th November 2023 at Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum), Kerala, India.
The Congress Started off with a TOX Simulation Workshop where SIMULATION Technology was used to discuss Toxicology Cases and Management Challenges.
Hotel O By TAMARA was the venue for the Main Congress which was Inaugurated by Dr Thomas Mathew, DME, Govt of Kerala.
Prof Dr. Manojan KK, Honourable Vice Chairman, Sree Gokulam Medical College & Research Foundation and Dr. Sheeja G Manoj, Managing Director, GG Hospital, Trivandrum also graced the occasion.
Prof Dr. Ashish Bhalla, from PGIMER, Chandigarh, was the Organising Chairperson of APAMT2023.
Dr. Hossein Hasaanian, President of APAMT was the leader of this Congress along with Dr. Linu M Sekhar, Organising Secretary APAMT2023.
The State of the Art Guidelines Consultation on “Club Drugs Toxicity” was held on Nov 10th.. The Consultation Session had attendees from all major toxicological societies of the world including American College of Medical Toxicology (ACMT), European Association Of Poison Centres and Clinical Toxicologists (EAPCCT), Toxicology and Poisons Network Australasia (TAPNA), Middle East and North Africa Clinical Toxicology Association (MENATOX) & Thai Society of Toxicology. The guidelines would be published as the 1st EMA – APAMT Joint Guidelines for “Club Drugs Toxicity”.
APAMT was hosted by INDUSEM, EMA – ACEE, Sree Gokulam Group of Healthcare Institutions, PGIMER Chandigarh & Government Medical College, Trivandrum under the patronage of Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS). The event was attended by over 150 international Faculty.
