INDUSEM-ACEE-AFPI address Violence against Health Care Workers & Doctors

Academic leaders from INDUSEM-ACEE-AFPI in Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, Family Medicine, Surgery and Indian Society of Preventive and Social Medicine Came together to draft the comprehensive Position Paper on Violence against Doctors and attack on health care establishments.

This is the first time that a Position Paper of this magnitude has been published in a PubMed Indexed Journal.

Speaking on this landmark achievement Professor Dr. Praveen Aggarwal Honorable Dean of the Academic College of Emergency Experts Stated “I am very humbled by the Academic Efforts of all the experts who worked hard to bring this paper to light. This position Paper will form the foundation for establishing creating solution to violence against physicians in India.”

INDUSEM has a long history of playing a defining role to build consensus in policy, education and research advancement for safe patient care in India. It has produced multiple white papers on developing Emergency Medicine, Trauma Care and Research Development in India. This paper joins the long list of efforts towards providing quality health Care to our patients.

This Joint Paper addresses the burning issue of Violence against Doctors by Patient Relatives and the issue of vandalizing health care facilities. This is a Public Health Issue which is multi factorial and the position paper addresses this issue effectively.

INDUSEM Star Academician Dr. Vivek Chauhan and IAPSM Leader Dr. Sunil Raina led this paper with Dr. Raman Kumar from AFPI, Dr. Soans from IAP and Dr. Srivastava from ASI.
