INDUSEM SURAKSHA BANDHAN was celebrated across the country as the nation celebrated Raksha Bandhan on 11th August 2022.

In the Words of INDUSEM CEO Dr. Sagar Galwankar

“Raksha Bandhan INDUSEM Suraksha Bandhan” is historic initiative which was launched to celebrate and highlight the role played by Emergency Physicians across India when the COVID pandemic reached monumental proportions.

The Security (Surkasha) Perimeter of the Emergency Department served as an entry point where 24/7 Emergency Care was provided by Emergency Providers who served as Soldiers and Warriors. This security system of 24/7 Availability was instrumental in combating COVID as care was provided to every patient who was sought lifesaving emergency treatment.

INDUSEM Leaders who spearheaded the INDUSEM Suraksha Bandhan initiative tied Rakhi to Emergency Patients and all their colleagues as India celebrated the specialty of Emergency Medicine which provides health security assurance of 24/7 emergency care led by Government Recognized, Residency Trained, MD/ DNB Degree Holding Emergency Medicine Trainers and Specialists.

It was a proud moment for the specialty as well specialists of Emergency Medicine…I am proud of them”
