Reporting from Stockholm, Sweden:
INDUSEM leader Dr. Neha Thakur Rai has officially brought India’s pioneering pediatric trauma methodology to the global stage. Dr. Rai actively participated in the combined 25th European Congress of Trauma and Emergency Surgery (ECTES/ESTES) & 8th World Trauma Congress (WCTC) held from April 26–28, 2026, in Stockholm, Sweden.
During the high-profile scientific meeting, Dr. Rai delivered a vital oral presentation during Oral Session 6 (WTC), highlighting the real-world deployment and clinical successes of her landmark curriculum.
Dr. Rai’s presentation, titled “Design, implementation, and evaluation of the pediatric trauma resuscitation module (PTRM) at a level 1 Indian trauma centre,”
The presentation provided data-driven insights into how the PTRM curriculum successfully bridges the “Golden Hour” gap. By translating complex tertiary trauma protocols into practical, step-by-step algorithms, the module has transformed how frontline primary care providers (PCPs)—including medical officers, nurses, and EMTs—stabilise critically injured children at the grassroots level.
The global medical community widely recognised the module’s signature methodology, “Collaborative Creativity,” which integrates simulation and sonography to significantly enhance learnability and retention among healthcare teams.
This presentation marks a major global milestone following the release of the comprehensive Pediatric Trauma Resuscitation Manual (PTRM) for Primary Care Providers published by Springer Nature. The manual blends international academic rigour with critical epidemiological insights specific to South and South-East Asia.
Developed under the visionary mentorship of INDUSEM CEO Dr. Sagar Galwankar, the PTRM paradigm continues to redefine standard emergency pediatric care across borders.
